Steps: Arrange 5 different wooden shapes/forms and take a photo of the arrangement. Digitally draw the 5 different shapes/forms on drawing paper (9x12) Use a ruler or the shape tool to help you. Apply shading techniques on each of the shapes: hatching, cross-hatching, stippling, scribbling, blended. Create a colorful abstract background for your still-life drawing. You may create the background on the paper you drew the shapes on. Or get a new 9x12 paper for the background and cut and paste the shapes you drew to the colorful abstract background you created. Add some cast shadows under the shapes to give the drawing the illusion of depth. When you are done, take a photo or your artwork and submit the image in NEO for grading.
