Assignment:
• Together as a class we will assemble a sandwich using Photoshop on our iPads. Specific sandwich image files are posted in Google Drive for student access. • Next, students, on their own, will be creating a pizza with MANY toppings using Photoshop and applying the exercises we learned from the sandwich activity. Specific pizza image files are posted in Google Drive for student access. • Finally, students will be creating a Veggie/Fruit person using Photoshop. Specific image files are posted in Google Drive for student access. • Each activity is worth 10 points for a total of 30 points for the Photoshop unit. • Submit images of your work in NEO/Canvas.
Grading:
• Time, care, effort put into the assignment (assignment doesn't seem rushed) • Individual digital art skill development • Student completed sandwich together as a class, followed steps instructor demonstrated, showing layers from the images/files provided by teacher • Student completed Photoshop pizza using the selection tool, making new layers, copy/pasting, magic wand tool from the images/files provided by teacher • Student created a veggie person/face using the selection tool, making new layers, copy/pasting, magic wand tool from the images/files provided by teacher • Student used Photoshop • Student used class time wisely to complete the assignment (stayed on-task and not distracted by devices) • Student submitted assignment in a timely manner
