Found Object Self-Portrait
For this assignment you will create a self-portrait by collecting objects around your home that represent different aspects of your personality. Then you will create a visually interesting artwork. You must include 5-10 objects.
Instructions:
1) Look around your room, house, backyard and collect more items that will help tell a story about you.
2) Arrange them in an interesting composition and take a photo with your iPad.
3) Open the image in AutoDesk Sketchbook app.
• Start a new layer.
• Use the pencil or pen tool to trace over the objects.
• Add a new layer and apply color with marker tools or paint brush tool.
4) Turn digital drawing AND the original photo into NEO/Canvas.
Grading:
• Time, care, effort put into the assignment (assignment doesn't seem rushed)
• Individual digital art skill development
• Student took their own photo and used the image to "trace" digitally in art app
• Student used an art app of their choice to complete the assignment (AutoDesk Sketchbook, ProCreate, Tayasui Sketches School, PhotoPea, Photoshop, Illustrator, Fresco)
• Student used class time wisely to complete the assignment (stayed on-task and not distracted by devices)
• Student submitted assignment in a timely manner

- Collect real objects around your house, arrange them in a dynamic composition and photograph it. Make sure to use purposeful color, lighting, composition, and background.
- Take a photo of your collage of objects on your iPad
- Use the image as your drawing guide with an art app (AutoDesk Sketchbook app to start with) and create a digital drawing of your image
