Choice Project 1
Overview You get to CHOOSE what you make. Using the Artist Research as a base (you did this in NEO), please choose a favorite professional artist you're inspired by. The goal is to create a work of art that is inspired by that artist, but the art should be unique to YOU. As each student in this class has a different style, passion, and interest- there is no set technique to learn. You will need to research and find your own tutorial and teach YOURSELF a tool or technique of choice. Remodel, remix, and create a work of art on your own choosing.

Minimalist Art
Overview Minimalist Art is perceived as easier than realistic art because of its simplicity. However, knowing how to cut out the details and still make a recognizable object or scene is difficult and a good skill in the digital art world. Your job in this assignment is to make a minimalist work of art using as little detail as possible.
Artist Statement:
Digital Self Portrait
Overview One of the fundamental components to an art portfolio is a self-portrait. Most art schools require it. And being able to show a potential employer that you can stylistically create a portrait, especially your own, is important. Use any of the programs or a combination of many, and make a self portrait of your current self (not the baby version or the 10-year old you).

Abstract Series
Overview Abstract Art uses a totally different part of our brains than realistic art. Abstract art comes in all kids of styles (minimalistic, surrealism, cubism, painterly, etc.) Creating a series in art comes with its own challenges as well. A series in art is a collection of 2, 3, 4, even more, works of art that are all different, but go together, play off each other, and belong with other art. This week you get to practice the skill of making abstract art with making a series! Artist Statement:
